*PLEASE NOTE: There is an error in the RSVP slip that needs to be returned with payment. The LOVE raffle tickets are supposed to indicate $100 per ticket, or $500 for 9 tickets. The Women’s Club annual Philanthropic Luncheon has raised thousands of dollars for worthy charities and causes including but not limited to:
This year we launched a re-imagined Community Service Award. It is now an essay content available to female high school juniors. The prize is $1,000.
Female high school juniors in the schools we partner with are eligible to submit to their school coordinator an essay describing how their exceptional community service efforts align with the mission of the main beneficiary of our annual Philanthropic fundraiser. This year the beneficiary was Queens Together, a not-for-profit that supports restaurants to fight food insecurity and strengthen the local economy.
The 2026 winner was Alyssia S., a junior at Archbishop Molloy High School, who wrote about her volunteer service at Marguerites Food Pantry in Elmhurst as well as raising funds to create her own food distribution program.
Alyssia was presented with a commendation letter and a $1,000 check at our May 4, 2026 General Membership evening meeting.
