In February 2025 we held our Annual Floral Design Luncheon and were delighted to learn from Michelle Lerulli of Seasonal Scapes LI how to create beautiful floral bouquets; a selection of which can be seen below and when you scroll all the way down, you will find the recipe for our famous carrot salad!

The Garden Chapter aims to enhance the knowledge of flowers, their care and maintenance, within a friendly social setting for its members. The Chapter members partake in lots of fun workshops and trips, and also hosts the annual Floral Design Luncheon in February.

The Chapter generally meets at the Community House at 10:00am on Tuesday or Wednesday. Tentative dates for the 2024-2025 season will be posted on the Calendar and in the Newsletter.

Spring Peony Making Workshop

Classic Carrot Salad
PREP TIME  15 mins
TOTAL TIME  15 mins
SERVINGS   4 
Ingredients
• 3 to 4 cups freshly grated carrots (from 4 to 6 medium-sized carrots)
• 1/2 to 1 cup raisins (regular, golden, or a mix)
• 1 large apple, (peeled or not, your preference) cored and chopped
• 1/4 to 1/3 cup mayonnaise
Method
1. Combine the carrots, raisins, apple and mayonnaise:
Gently combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
2. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
