The Music Chapter’s mission is to provide a discussion forum on musical news and events of interest, with a particular focus on enjoying local performances. Several classical or Broadway musical-type productions are selected to attend during the year, and a musical performance is given at the “Celebration of the Arts” General Meeting.
The Chapter’s main activity is the “Just for the Fun of It” sing-along group, which meets once or twice a month on the stage of the Community House gym from 10:00am-11:30am. Participants sing from a list of familiar favorites spanning everything from the American Songbook to pop and folk selections from the last few decades. Lyric sheets are provided, and no auditions are required!
The dates for the 2026-2027 sing-along meetings are October 9, 27, Nov 17, Dec 15, Jan 26, Feb 12, 23, Mar 12, 23, Apr 6, May 3 and 18.
